Mount and Blade - best pc game I've played in a while
It's been a while since I've found a game that could make me sit in front of my PC for hours and its been a while since I've found a game as unique as Mount and Blade. The game sort of a combines of Rome Total War and Dynasty Warriors of PS2. You start of as a lone adventurer whose destiny you could decide freely in the game. You could either be a trader, a mercenary, a bounty hunter or become a lord for one of the 5 factions which could be found in Calradia. Each faction has a unique set of troops which specializes in different forms of weaponry. Some of which are good in infantry, cavalry and some in long range troops.
In this game you're going to start from scratch so better know how to pick your fights. You're going to be alone so if you see a unit which has 30 troops in it try to avoid it. It's advisable that you learn how to attack properly while on a horse because it's going to help make your life a lot easier.
If you're a fan of Rome: Total War, Romance of the three kingdoms by Koei, Dynasty Warriors, Age of Empire and anything similar to it, then you're going to love this game.
Despite the fact that I find this game very entertaining there are things that needs improvement. First, they should add a story in the game like what Microsoft did with Freelancer to give it that RPG charisma. What i mean to say is that the freedom to do a lot of things in this game is great but it gets a little uninspiring after a while unless you can find it in yourself to create your own goals in the game. The AI needs improvement to, of course there are MODS to this game that does improve the AI however I find that some of the MODS tend to destroy the games balance, at least in my opinion.
By the way, there is a sequel to this game called Mount and Blade: Warband which I haven't tried yet, I hope to try it soon but I don't have the time yet.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a short book review
After the twilight hype and the emergence of other vampire books such as the southern vampire mysteries and vampire diaries I must say that another vampire novel is hardly a surprise these days but "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" is definitely a good read. It tells the story of Abraham Lincolns life from boyhood to his becoming the sixteenth president of America up to his assasination and of course his life as a vampire hunter. There is some debate about wether this novel is indeed based on Lincolns rumored hidden journals or if this novel is based on fact or fiction, the author(Seth Grahame-Smith) does not put any indication that it is fiction though which has baffled many. One thing is clear enough, this book has drawn the attention of fans and critics alike.
At the beginning the book states 3 facts.
1. For over 250 years, between 1607 and 1865, vampires thrived in the shadows of America. Few humans believed in them.
2. Abraham Lincoln was one of the gifted vampire hunters of his day, and kept a secret journal about his lifelong war against them.
3. Rumors of the journal’s existence have long been a favorite topic among historians and Lincoln biographers. Most dismiss it as myth.
Much like the other controversial novel by Dan Brown the "Da Vinci Code."
All in all, if you're just looking for a unique vampire novel or just a good read, then this is your book.
